Kunnathoor Padi is the Aroodam of Sri Muthappan located near Srikandapuram in Payyavur village. The annual festival begins on the 2nd of Dhanu (Malayalam month) and continues through the 2nd of Makaram — a full month of continuous Theyyam performances. Unlike Parassinikadavu which hosts daily rituals, Kunnathoor Padi's annual festival is considered the grand gathering — the occasion when Muthappan's energy is believed to be at its most concentrated. The site is surrounded by dense forest and sacred groves, preserving the ancient ecological setting that Muthappan's legend is rooted in.
